General introduction
During the Vietnam War, the area just south of the DMZ was the scene of some of the bloodiest battles of the conflict. Dong Ha, Quang Tri, Con Thien, Cam Lo, Camp Carroll, the Rockpile, Khe Sanh, Lang Vay, the Ashau Valley, Hamburger Hill these became almost household names in the USA as, year after year, TV pictueres and casualty figures provided Americans with their daily evening dose of the war
Specific schedule
Date 1 : Arrival Hue (_/L/D)
Pick you up at Phu Bai airprot and transfer to hotel. Then visit the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, the ruins of the Purple Forbiden City and Dong Ba market.
Night boat trip on Perfume river with Hue Folk songs perfomance. Overnight at the hotel.
Date 2 : Hue – DMZ (Demillitary Zone) (B/L/D)
Breakfast. 7:30 AM Pick you up at your hotel in Hue and drive to Dong Ha Town, then continue to drive on national route No 9 to visit Dackrong Bridge, Rock Pile, Khe Sanh Combat Base, ethnic minority villages, The Ho Chi Minh Trails, then return to Dong Ha town for lunch.
PM: Hightway No.1 visit Hien Luong bridge, Ben Hai river, the 17th parallel, Doc Mieu and Vinh Moc tunnels. Tour end in Hue about 6h30 PM. Overnight in Hue
Day 3: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (B/L/D).
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning cruise on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda, royal tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, it is a good chance for you to see the daily life of local people living along Perfume River. Come back the hotel by car to check out and have lunch.
Drive toward Hoi An (about 4 hours), on the way we will stop for visitting Lang Co Beach, Hai Van pass, Cham Museum in Danang, home to Vietnam’s largest collection of Cham treasure, and Marble Mountains. To Hoi An check in hotel and free for walking around Ancient Town. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Hoi An – Danang Airport (B/L/_).
Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour to visit Hoi An Ancient Town, visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantanese congregation, silk street in Hoi an, the temples and pagodas of Chinese appearance.
Free shopping until transfer to Danang international airport for flying to HCM or Hanoi City or out off Vietnam. Tour end here.
